Julie Boyd and Dr. Eileen Lockhart are sisters with a desire to share the story of their ancestors' and the impact their ancestors lives have on building the great United States. In this their first book, they share the story of theirs father's experience growing up on on the 101 Ranch in Oklahoma alongside famous characters such as Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley and Geronimo. They bring to the pages of their book a real life account of the infamous Pearl Harbor attack. Currently they are working on a second novel about the growth of western expansion and its impact across the nation.
The United States has a colorful history. Our ancestors were a part of that history and it would be a shame if we lost the stories and experiences that have been passed down through the generations. Several years ago we embarked on travel to the sights of our ancestors and we relaized how important it is to keep the memories alive. So between letters, books, libraries, research, and Ancestry.com our community has grown to include the individuals whose lives have been touched along the way. There is much more to come!
We are only getting started!
Join us on our journey as we travel through history. Our story begins during the years of the Civil War and concludes at the end of the jet age. Three generations of Americans cross the continent from North Carolina to California. Their lives tell a story of pride, determination, grit, and joy. Our first book, starts in the depression years and highlights key events such as the migrant workers in EL Centro, California, the western show area, and WW2, including the Pearl Harbor Attack and the dawn of the electronic technology.
How about you, do you have a story to tell?
